About me
“The Photographer of Joy”
“I photograph life, capturing people’s emotions.
The encounter is everything for me. It’s always the same, even after 20 years of taking portraits: butterflies in my stomach, a little fear, a desire to discover. And then comes trust, remembering that I’m never disappointed. It’s thanks to the encounter that I can grow, discover others, and also discover myself.
I haven’t yet found another way to get to know someone so deeply without becoming part of their world. It’s a kind of emotional communication that is born solely in the intimacy of a portrait.
I feel vulnerable but enriched, privileged in many cases, to be given permission to speak into the life of the person in front of me—to converse both with and without words, to take something and also to leave something behind. In the end, a portrait is not so different from life: it requires a certain amount of courage, of trust in others, of letting them peek a little inside so they can feel free to be. And just like in life, you never have full control—it is in the absence of that control that you can truly get to know someone.
Some of my projects

Privacy Experience
What is privacy? Is it important to protect it? Or can one choose to share it with the rest of the world? Privacy seeks to answer these and other questions using tools like photography and video storytelling. Privacy offers an innovative way to narrate the human soul, doing so with the utmost subtlety—just as only technology can truly gain access.

Ristratto
"Ristratto" aimed to draw attention to the crisis faced by restaurateurs following COVID, a photographic experience designed to support a category that was particularly struggling during that historical moment.

Homeland
Homeland tells the story of Ukrainian women who managed to escape the war, leaving their "men" behind to fight—a tribute to their courage and perseverance.
